Ministries at Grace Episcopal Church

Saint Vincent's Guild

All lay ministers who serve the Altars of Grace Church are considered to be members  of Saint Vincent's Guild. The Guild, which is one of the oldest active ministries of the parish, serves as a forum by which everyone can gather for a very special Mass, have breakfast together, and then learn more about our various ministries. The ministries included in the Guild are: acolytes, servers, lectors, thurifers, chalice bearers, ushers, choristers, greeters and even the membership of the Altar Guild. Among the purposes of the St. Vincent's Guild are fellowship of lay ministers, encouragement of rule of life that is Scripture based and knowledge of liturgy. The Guild gathers semi-annually for our meetings and we always welcome new members. Debra C. Todd  Warden St. Vincent's Guild.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl ministry that was started last year following the guidelines in the book "Knitting into Mystery: A Guide to the Shawl-Knitting Ministry" by Susan S Jorgensen and Susan S.Izard is a big success. Knitters are needed because the demand is so great for these shawls. They are also knitting baby blankets to be given to infants who are baptized in the parish. Anyone is welcome to join this ministry. Please call Marian Rutty at 734-0074 for more information.
